You've got a birth plan. A hospital bag. A car seat you've watched three YouTube videos about.

But what about the part after?

It's 3am. You're sore, bleeding, and running on 90 minutes of sleep. The baby's been fed but won't settle. Your partner wants to help, but every few minutes they ask "what do you need?", and you're too tired to tell them.

Your mother-in-law stops by "just for coffee" and stays three hours. The dishes pile up. Nobody remembers who's picking up the older one from school. The freezer meals you meant to make never happened.

Then at your check-up someone asks, "How has it been?" and your mind goes blank. You know something felt off in week two. You just can't remember what.

This is the fourth trimester: the 12 weeks after birth. It's when you need the most help, and it's the hardest time to organize any.

So you look for a postpartum planner. We read through hundreds of reviews of the bestsellers, and buyers kept running into the same problems:

  • Typos all through the pages

  • Canva links that wouldn't open

  • Files that printed the wrong size, so people had to resize every page themselves

  • Page after page of decoration with tiny boxes to write in

  • Duplicate pages, with C-sections tacked on as an afterthought

You have enough to deal with. Your planner shouldn't be one more thing.

Introducing The Fourth Trimester Plan

Plan it before. Use it after.

It's a fillable planner for the 12 weeks after birth. Spend about an hour on it in the last weeks of pregnancy. Once the baby's here, it takes five minutes a week.

You fill in the hard decisions now, while you're rested: who helps, who does nights, what visitors can expect, who to call. Then, when you're exhausted, you don't have to decide anything. You just open the plan.

Fill it in on your phone, tablet or computer, or print it. There's no Canva account and no app to learn.

Before the birth

  • My support team. Everyone who's offered to help, and what they're good at. Ask people for specific jobs, because specific requests are easier to say yes to.

  • Who to call. Every number you'll want at 3am on one page, with space for your own.

  • Meals. A meal train schedule, a freezer list and one-hand snack ideas, so dinner turns up without you asking.

  • Visitor rules. Decide them now, and your partner can be the one who enforces them. You don't have to be the bad guy.

  • Household jobs. Who does the dishes, laundry, trash and pets for six weeks, agreed before the birth so nobody has to ask.

  • Our night plan. Night shifts that give each of you one longer stretch of sleep, plus a code word that means "take over, now."

  • Recovery, feeding and baby supplies. Checklists with space for whatever your care team recommends.

  • Hospital bag. What to pack for you, the baby and your partner, ready by 36 weeks.

  • Feeding plan. A plan A, a plan B and who to call. Breast, pump, formula or a mix are all treated as good options.

  • Kids, pets and home. Who looks after everyone else while you're at the birth.

  • What I need to feel okay. Written while you know yourself best, so your partner can remind you later.

Recovery

  • My recovery at home. The questions to ask before you leave the hospital, with space to write the answers. You won't remember them later.

  • A 28-day recovery log. A one-line daily note, so "how has it been?" at your check-up has a real answer.

  • Help schedule, weeks 1–8. A name in each box. The blank boxes show you exactly what to ask for.

  • Warning signs page. The urgent maternal warning signs on one page, next to your own numbers. Stick it where everyone can see it.

Weeks 1 to 12

  • 12 weekly check-ins. Five minutes each to rate your body, mood and sleep, note what helped, and list questions for your next appointment.

  • Feeding log. Breast, pump, bottle and diapers on one page. Print as many as you need.

  • Appointment log. For you and the baby, so you remember what was said.

  • Postpartum visit prep. The topics worth raising at your check-up: mood, bleeding, leaking, pain during sex, birth control and more. Tick them off and walk in ready.

For your partner and for you

  • For my partner. How to help without being asked. Hand it to them in your third trimester.

  • My birth story. Date, time, weight, height, and space to write the story while it's still fresh.

If you have a C-section

  • C-Section Pages. Nine extra pages, included in the same download, for recovering from surgery whether it was planned or not: what you can't do yet and when each thing is okay again, C-section supplies, a help schedule for weeks 1–8, and a 28-day wound and recovery log. You don't have to decide in advance which birth you'll have.

How it's made

  • Fillable on a phone, tablet or computer, or print it

  • No Canva, no account, no app

  • Comes as US Letter and A4, so it always prints the right size

  • Proofread page by page

  • 39 pages, plus 9 C-section pages, all of them useful

The household jobs page, filled in with who does dishes, laundry and pets for six weeks
The night plan page, filled in with three night shifts and a code word
The What I need to feel okay page, filled in

Think about what the first 12 weeks already cost: takeout on the nights nobody cooked, pads, nipple cream, a second pump part, 3am online orders you don't remember placing.

The Fourth Trimester Plan costs less than one of those takeout dinners.

$24 $17 launch price

That's for the full 39-page planner and the 9 C-section pages, in both paper sizes. Buy it once, print it as often as you like, and keep it for the next baby.

The 30-day "fill in one page" guarantee

Open the plan and fill in one page, any page. If it doesn't feel like one less thing to worry about, email hello@tenderweeks.co within 30 days and I'll refund you in full. You don't need to give a reason.

The launch price of $17 ends on October 30. After that it goes up to $24.

There's a more important deadline, though: your due date. The Before the birth pages work best in the last few weeks of pregnancy, while you still have the energy to make decisions. Once the baby's here, you'll be glad you made them already.

Do I need Canva or any special app? No. Open it in the free Adobe Acrobat Reader app, the Files app on an iPhone or iPad, or Chrome or Edge on a computer. Or just print it.

I don't know how the birth will go. Is this for me? Yes — that's the point. The main plan works for any birth, and the C-Section Pages are already in your download if you end up needing them. Nothing to decide in advance.

Is this medical advice? No. It's a planning and note-taking tool. It helps you ask your care team the right questions and keep their answers. Always follow your own midwife or doctor.

Can I buy it as a gift? Yes, and it makes a better baby shower gift than another outfit they'll grow out of in a week. Put her email address in at checkout and it goes straight to her — the charge still goes to your card.

Can I share it with my partner? Please do. The planning pages work best when you both fill them in. If you'd like something written directly to them, add the Partner Guide at checkout.
